DIGHTON — Pauline F. Scheufler, 86, died Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at Lane County Hospital in Dighton.

DIGHTON — Pauline F. Scheufler, 86, died Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at Lane County Hospital in Dighton.

She was born Sept. 7, 1926, near Thayer, Mo., to Henry and Freida Butch Hartwig. She graduated from high school in Thayer.

On Feb. 6, 1950, she married Leslie D. Scheufler in Bentonville, Ark. They moved to Dighton to farm. She also worked for more than 30 years as a dispatcher for the Lane County Sheriff Department.

Her husband died May 22, 1971. She also was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Irvin Hartwig; and a sister, Ella Hartwig.

Survivors include a daughter, Karen Scheufler of Dighton.

Funeral will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at the United Methodist Church in Dighton. Burial will be at Dighton Memorial Cemetery.
