Daryl Glen Wilkerson died Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at Colorado State Veterans Nursing Home in Walsenburg, Colo.

He was born July 13, 1935, to Robert and Grace Wilkerson. He graduated from high school at Utica.

On Dec. 17, 1957, he married Marjorie Wilkerson in Arnold. She preceded him in death as did his parents; a brother, Raymond Wilkerson; a stepbrother, Ronald Holmes; and a son, Timothy Wilkerson.

Mr. Wilkerson had worked in Dighton, farming, trucking, rolling high moisture corn and as an attendant at the Lane County Landfill. He was a U.S. Army veteran.

Survivors include two sons, Alvin Wilkerson of Walsenburg, and Alan Wilkerson of Draper, Utah; a brother, Gaylon Wilkerson of Loveland, Colo.; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Services will begin at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Bible Fellowship Church in Dighton. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to New Hope Community Church of Walsenburg, Box 422, Walsenburg, CO 81089.
