Dale Ashcraft, 61, died Wednesday, April 3, 2013.

He was born May 19, 1951, in Dodge City, to Richard and Francis Burns Ashcraft.

Mr. Ashcraft was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Survivors include a brother, Dean Ashcraft of Cimarron. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Lloyd, Leroy and Lawrence Downtrain.

A memorial graveside service will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday at Cimarron Cemetery, with military honors conducted. A book signing will be from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at Zigler Funeral Chapel, Cimarron.

There will be no public visitation; cremation has taken place. Condolences may be sent to www.zieglerfuneralchapel.com. Memorials to the Dale Ashcraft Memorial Fund or Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1714 may be sent in care of the funeral chapel, Box 446, Cimarron, KS 67835.
