LAKIN — Marian M. Grosbier, 90, died Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at High Plains Retirement Village in Lakin.

LAKIN — Marian M. Grosbier, 90, died Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at High Plains Retirement Village in Lakin.

She was born Aug. 1, 1922, in Alden, to Charles Harry Murphy and Elizabeth Ann Caywood Murphy.

On Oct. 23, 1954, she married Roland Louis Grosbier. They worked for more than 30 years managing department store chains. She retired in 1984 and had resided at High Plains Retirement Village since October 2004.

Survivors include a sister, Frances Phillips of Syracuse. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a brother, Charles Murphy.

Graveside memorial service will begin at 11 a.m. MDT April 13 at Syracuse Cemetery, Syracuse.
