ENSIGN, KAN. — Elvie Alan "Buck" Phillips died Saturday, Dec. 8, 2018, in Grand Lake Villa in Grove, Okla.
He was born Sept. 27, 1950, to James and Ramona (Edison) Phillips in Tulsa, Okla.
He married Tana Jean Roberts on Sept. 27, 1969, in Scott City.
He worked for many truck lines, including 15 years at Isaac Truck Line, and eventually started his own trucking company.
He is survived by three sons, Travis Phillips of Servery, Kan., James Phillips of Ensign and Kent Mayfield of Redwood, Calif.; one daughter, Shawna Phillips of Minneola; two brothers, Jay Dougherty of Tulsa, Okla. and James Phillips of Cushing, Okla.; three sisters, Nancy Bence of Oklahoma, Sherry Denner of Spavinaw, Okla. and Sue Clark of Servery, Kan.; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Tana; and two brothers, Terry Dougherty and Eddie Bell.

Visitation has been set for from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 28 at Robson Funeral Home, 217 Sequoyah St., Satanta.
Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 29 at First Baptist Church, Cimarron. Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Scott City Cemetery.
