SYRACUSE — Janice K. Jones, 67, died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2018, at Presbyterian Manor of the Plains, Dodge City.

She was born Nov. 9, 1951, in Lakin to James A. and Naomi Jean (Stinchcomb) Elston.

She received her master's degre from Fort Hays State University. A Dodge City resident since 1980, moving from Liberal, she was a registered nurse in the intensive care unit at Western Plains Medical Complex in Dodge City.

Survivors include her partner of 40 years, Roger Hedgecoth, Dodge City; a son, Jammie Jones of Raymore, Mo.; a sister, Deb Elston of Wichita; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, James William Elston; and a sister, Marcella Ann Bellinger.

Funeral services will be 7 p.m. Friday at Ziegler Funeral Chapel, Dodge City. Burial will be at 2 p.m. MST Dec. 15 in the Syracuse Cemetery, Syracuse. A reception will follow burial at the Syracuse Pizzeria.

Visitation will be noon to 8 p.m. Thursday at Ziegler Funeral Chapel in Dodge City, with the family present from 5 to 8 p.m.
