ULYSSES — Naomi L. Meza, 72, of Mineral Wells, Texas, died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2018, at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas.
She was born Nov. 16, 1946, in Jewell, Ore., to the Rev. Roy and Catherine (Schmidt) Foster.
She married Modesto Meza on July 27, 1966, in Clayton, N.M.
She graduated high school in Portland, Ore. While living in Perryton, Texas, as an adult, she owned and operated Perryton Optical.
She is survived by her husband, Modesto of the home; three children, Tracy Meza of Mineral Wells, Texas, Larry Meza of Fort Worth and Teresa Ochoa of Ulysses; two brothers, Jerry Foster of Molalla, Ore., and James Foster of Aurora, Ore.; one sister, Jenice McAlley of Anderson, Mo.; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Eugene Foster and Dave Foster; and a sister, Eva Foster.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Monday at Garnand Funeral Home Chapel in Ulysses. Interment will follow at Ulysses Cemetery.
Visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Garnand Funeral Home Chapel in Ulysses.
