JOHNSON — Rita Kay Case, 51, died Sunday, Oct. 28, 2018, at her home in Johnson, Kan.

She was born Sept. 13, 1967, in Garden City, Kan., to Pete Marion and Joice Joan (Shriner) Marquardt. She married Johnny Sauseda, Sr. in 1984; they later divorced. On March 22, 1997, she married Paul Case.

She graduated from Garden City High School in 1986. While living in Garden City, she worked at McDonald’s and IBP.

She is survived by her husband, Paul of the home; sons, Johnny Sauseda, Jr. of Lawrence, Kan., and Corey Schmidt of North Glenn, Colo.; daughter, Kortney Case of Hays; sisters, Peggy Fecht of Colorado Springs, Colo., Sarah Ludwig of Towanda, Kan. and Helen Blevins of Hutchinson, Kan.; brother-in-law, Ron Bauer of Meade, Kan.; and three grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and sisters, Joice Marion Marquardt and Lesa Bauer.

Funeral service is 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2 at Fields Memorial Wesleyan Church in Johnson. Burial will follow at the Stanton County Cemetery in Johnson.
