Jack C. Linenberger, 92, died Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2018, at his home in Pueblo, Colo.
He was born March 21, 1926, in Sterling, Colo., the son of Joseph and Sussanna (Quint) Linenberger.
Jack moved with his family to Garden City when he was 4. He attended Garden City schools and graduated from Garden City High School. He then served in the U.S. Army Air Corp from August 1944 to October 1946.
In 1965, he started Linenberger Construction, which he owned and operated until 1991. Shortly after his retirement in 2014, he moved to Pueblo, where he has lived since.
He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church of Garden City and the VFW.
Survivors include four children, Dr. Kim Garner and husband Kenneth Cunningham of Millington, Tenn., Kelly and wife Tracee Linenberger of Pueblo, Kyla and husband Neil Schibbelhut of Pamona, and Karen and husband Bob Deeds of Ft. Worth, Texas; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Joe, Ben, Bill, Bert, and Don; and six sisters, Sister Carmela, Sister Celeste, Stella Schmale, Helen Weldon, Isabel Frick, and Alice Linenberger.
Funeral Mass will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at St. Mary Catholic Church in Garden City.
There will be no visitation.
