Ramona Theresa Ohmes Kippes, 74, died Tuesday, June 26, 2018, at her home in Victoria. 

She was born May 8, 1944, in Garden City, to Joseph and Josephine Ohnsat Ohmes. She was a 1962 graduate of Garden City High School.

On Oct. 18, 1968, she married Norman Kippes. He died March 10, 2004. She also was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Lawrence Ohmes, Joseph J. Ohmes, Sylvester Ohmes and Anthony Robert Ohmes; and two sisters, Bernadine Herbert and Loretta Page.

Mrs. Kippes had been a co-founder and co-owner of Kippes Insurance Agency since 1988.

Survivors include two daughters, Tammi Sauer of Edmond, Okla., and Kathy Ricke of Valparaiso, Ind.; a son, Jason Kippes of Victoria; seven grandchildren; four sisters, Rosalia Hoffmann and Vivian Wnuczek, both of Milwaukee, Wis., Gladys Piche of Franklin, Wis., and Cacelia Sarnowski of Vulcan, Mich.; and three brothers, Al Ohmes of Garden City, Frank Ohmes of Hutchinson, and George Ohmes of Pierceville.

A vigil service will begin at 6:45 p.m. Friday, followed by a parish rosary at 7 p.m., at The Basilica of St. Fidelis in Victoria. Service will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church. Burial will be at St. Fidelis Cemetery in Victoria.
