SATANTA — Leon Stuart Wilson, 92, died Thursday, June 21, 2018, in Ramseur, N.C.
He was born June 7, 1926, in Plains, to George Raymond and Blanche Hazel Jennison Wilson. He graduated from Liberal High School in 1944
On June 20, 1946, he married Chloe Loveyla St. Clair. She preceded him in death as did a son, William David; his parents; and three sisters, Mary Ellen Gum, Hazel Cain and Carol Grund.
A long-time resident of southwest Kansas, Mr. Wilson had retired in 1992 from Panhandle Eastern in Liberal. He had recently moved to live near his family. He was a U.S. Navy veteran.
Survivors include two sons, Andrew of Belton, Texas, and Michael of Pleasant View, Tenn.; two daughters, Diana Naylor of Dodge City, and Kathleen Gleeson of Jamestown, N.C.; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday at Pleasant Prairie Church of God, Satanta. Burial will follow at Dudley Township Cemetery in Satanta.
Visitation hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Paul’s-Robson Funeral Home, Satanta. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to Hospice of Randolph County, 416 Vision Drive, Asheboro, NC 27203.
