BIG BOW — Carmaleta Moore, 80, of Big Bow, died Monday, June 25, 2018, at Kearny County Hospital in Lakin. 

She was born Oct. 4, 1937, in rural Stevens County, to Kenneth L. and Goldie Cobb Betsworth. She graduated from Hugoton High School in 1955. 

On Oct. 5, 1955, she married Robert E. Moore in Hugoton. He died in 1997. She also was preceded in death by her parents.

Mrs. Moore was a registered nurse for 35 years at Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital in Ulysses. She retired in 2010, after working in the medical field for 38 years.

Survivors include three children, Troy Moore of Santa Fe, N.M., Gayle Moore of Johnson City, and Beth Moore of Cypress, Texas; and six siblings, Evelyn McBride of Hugoton, Ronald Betsworth of San Diego, Geraldine “Gerry” Bradford of Lufkin, Texas, Sharon Barker of Fargo, N.D., Doug Betsworth of Hot Springs Village, Ark., and Lindsay Betsworth of Flower Mound, Texas.  

A memorial service will begin at 10 a.m. July 7 at Shelton Memorial Christian Church in Ulysses.
