SUBLETTE — James Adam “Jim” Ramsey Sr., 74, of Sublette, died Tuesday, June 5, 2018, at St. Francis Hospital in Wichita.

He was born Feb. 28, 1944, in Karvel, Colo., to Adam and Nellie Ramsey.

A Kansas resident since 1967, Mr. Ramsey was an owner/operator truck driver until he retired. He was a member of the Christ Church of Haskell County. His hobbies included being ornery and working with scrap metal. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his special friend and companion, Janet Keener; his children, Virginia of Eldorado, Tori (Nolan) of Pueblo, Colo., Lynne (Trina) of Garden City, and Jamie (Angela) of Pueblo; two grandchildren, Jordan and Shelby; and his siblings, Sonita, Alice, Billie, Tommie, Fred, Tim, Harold and Charles.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Ruth; and a brother, Jerry.

A celebration of life service will begin at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Christ Church of Haskell County, 204 S. Inman St., Sublette.
