Floyd Duane Horn, 93, died Sunday, June 3, 2018, at Garden Valley Retirement Village in Garden City.
He was born May 1, 1925, in Phillips County, to Roy C. and Alpha Webster Horn.
A Garden City resident since 1991, moving from Elkhart, Mr. Horn worked as a district superintendent for Colorado Interstate Natural Gas. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
On Oct. 19, 1947, he married Betty Jean Williams in Lakin. She survives. Other survivors include two children, Gerald D. “Jerry” and Mia Horn of Garden City, and Deborah K. and Mickey Horn Cobb of Elkhart; three grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Betty Marie Parvin.
A memorial service was held Thursday at Price & Sons Funeral Home of Garden City. Cremation has been selected. A graveside committal service was planned Thursday afternoon at Lakin Cemetery.
