Lois Evelyn (Droegemeier) Boy, 97, of Syracuse died Monday, June 4, 2018, at Greeley County Long Term Care in Tribune.
She was born March 18, 1921, in rural Geneseo to Ernest Droegemeier and Nell (Milbradt) Droegemeier.
She graduated in 1939 from Geneseo High Schoool.
On May 21, 1944, she married Gordon Frank Boy in Frederick. In 1947, she moved to Syracuse, where she began teaching at Syracuse High School in 1962. She taught Home Economics and Study Hall for 20 years. On April 2011, she moved to the Seasons Of Life Living Center and later to the Greeley County Long Term Care due to her health, and resided there until she died.
She is survived by her son, Terry Boy of Syracuse; two daughters, Margo Uehling of Germantown, Tennessee, and Grace Donecker of Garden City; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gordon Frank Boy; two brothers, Ernest Droegemeier and Lynn Droegemeier; and a daughter, Beth Graham.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. MDT Friday at the First United Methodist Church in Syracuse. Burial will follow in the Syracuse Cemetery.
