Eileen Rhea, 93, of Oakley, died Saturday, June 2, 2018, at Logan County Manor in Oakley.
She was born March 15, 1925, in Fort Scott, to Chleo and Hazel Bradshaw Layton.
On March 17, 1946, she married Harold Rhea in Fort Scott.
Mrs. Rhea was a homemaker.
Survivors include a son, Marshall Rhea of Oakley; three daughters, Patricia Stockham of Wichita, Nancy Howard of Garden City, and Julia Flores of Gardner; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; two sons, Stuart and Jeff; a daughter, Cathy Leighton; a sister, Kathleen Hagelstein; two brothers, Gail Layton and Harlan Layton; two grandchildren, Trenton Rhea and Shannon Schmidt (in infancy); and two stepgrandchildren, Jance Kruse and Diane Hort.
Funeral will begin at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Oakley United Methodist Church, with burial at Oakley Cemetery.
