SYRACUSE — A memorial service for Harry Lewis Huber, 93, of Syracuse, will begin at 11 a.m. PDT June 15 at Summerville Baptist Church in Summerville, Ore., followed by lunch.
Mr. Huber died Feb. 3, 2018, at his home.
He was born Jan. 21, 1925, in Brookville, Pa., to Harry William and Mina Elva Burkett Huber. After graduating from Brookville High School in 1943, he served in the U.S. Navy.
On Sept. 4, 1949, he married Myrtle Marie Manning in Long Beach, Calif.
Mr. Huber operated a flooring company and also farmed and ranched until he retired in 2011.
In addition to his wife, survivors include two sons, Schuyler William Huber of Martinez, Calif., and Corey Huber of Syracuse; three brothers, Claude Newcome and Floyd Huber, both of Pennsylvania, and Dr. Harold Huber of Arizona; a sister, Margret Hummel of California; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ralph Huber.
