HUGOTON — Juan Johnny B. Lopez, 80, of Hugoton, died Sunday, May 27, 2018, at Stevens County Hospital in Hugoton.
He was born Aug. 23, 1937, in Las Vegas, N.M., to Grace Lopez, and was raised by his grandparents, Cirilo and Vicenta Lopez.
Mr. Lopez had been a resident of Hugoton since 1977. He worked for Panhandle Eastern until his retirement.
On July 5, 1980, he married Vicie Jane Jones in Meade. She survives.
Other survivors include three daughters, Pat Wishon of Hugoton, Joann Fernandez of Albuquerque, N.M., and Veronica Lopez of Colorado Springs, Colo.; three sisters, Sally Shelton of Alva, Okla., Trudy Harris of Joplin, Mo., and Adele Elliott of Hugoton; 12 granddaughters; three grandsons; 12 great-granddaughters; and five great-grandsons.
He was preceded in death by his mother; his grandparents; two brothers, William Ray and John Henry Lopez; a sister, Ina Taylor; and a great-granddaughter.
Graveside service will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at Hugoton Cemetery.
Visitation hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at Paul’s-Robson Funeral Home, Hugoton.
