JOHNSON CITY — Cindy Lauppe, 55, of Wichita, died Monday, May 14, 2018, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. 

She was born Aug. 13, 1962, in Ulysses, to William E. and Betty C. Taylor Lauppe. She graduated from St. Paul’s Lutheran School in 1981. 

She married Ron Hambrick and later married Ty Spikes. 

She worked at numerous jobs before moving in 2010 to Wichita, where she was a merchandise supervisor at Walmart. 

Survivors include a son, Christopher Hambrick of Wichita; her mother, Betty Eckhardt of Oak Grove, La.; two brothers, Randall Lauppe of Oak Grove, and Mark Lauppe of Amarillo, Texas; a sister, Audrey Lauppe of Johnson City; and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Bill Lauppe; her stepfather, John Eckhardt; and a grandson.

A memorial service will begin at 2 p.m. today at Ascension Lutheran Church Tyler Campus in Wichita. Graveside inurnment will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday at Stanton County Cemetery in Johnson City.
