LEOTI — Betty Pauline Ohnick, 86, died Saturday, April 28, 2018, at Wichita County Health Center in Leoti.

She was born July 9, 1931, in Boise City, Okla., to Bill and Frances Stassi Wood.

A resident of Leoti since 2014 and a former resident of Scott City, Mrs. Ohnick was a nurses aide at several medical facilities throughout her career.

On June 9, 1946, she married Bob Ohnick in Clayton, N.M. He died May 4, 2002, in Rocky Ford, Colo. She also was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Bill Wood and Bob Wood.

Survivors include two sons, Gary Ohnick and Steven Ohnick, both of Rocky Ford; a daughter, Beth Wilbur of Leoti; a sister, Bea Langerbacher of Keyse, Okla.; six grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 14 stepgreat-grandchildren; and a stepgreat-great-grandchild.

Funeral will begin at 10 a.m. CST Thursday at First Baptist Church in Leoti. Graveside service will begin at 3:30 p.m. CST Thursday at Fairview Cemetery in La Junta, Colo.
