DIGHTON — Celia Noreen Rowe, 77, died Friday, Feb. 23, 2018, at Lane County Hospital in Dighton.
She was born Feb. 3, 1941, in Salina to Edwin Emil and Beulah Lula Staley Foos.
She married Rowland C. “Ronnie” Rowe on Aug. 14, 1960, in Dighton. He died on Nov. 14, 1995.
She was a 1959 graduate of Dighton High School. She worked many years at the Green Bonnet and later Cameo in Dighton as a hair dresser. She later worked in the lab at Lane County Hospital and for the American Red Cross. She then went to truck driving school in Wichita. She left Dighton in 2002, but returned in 2015.
She enjoyed being outside, doing yard work, gardening, camping, hiking, skiing, traveling and in her younger years playing slow pitch softball. She also enjoyed collecting crystal bells.
She is survived by a son, Troy Rowe and his wife, Nicci, of Dighton; a daughter, Annettee Reynolds of Taos, N.M.; a brother, Larry Foos of Sapulpa, Okla., six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Dighton Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday at Boomhower Funeral Home.
