John Jesse Erickson, 75, of Loveland, Colo., died Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2018.

He was born July 4, 1942, in Garden City. He graduated from Garden City High School, attended Garden City Junior College and served in the U.S. Navy from 1961 to 1965.

On Nov. 25, 1966, he married Pamela Hamlin in Garden City. In 1970, they moved to Broomfield, Colo., where he graduated from Colorado Aero Tech. In 1977, they moved to Loveland, where he was self-employed for 42 years in the commercial sales and service of feed, seed and grain equipment.

Mr. Erickson’s life centered around his family and longtime friends. He loved traveling the American southwest, southwest art, Western movies and CSU basketball. He was a lifetime member of the United Methodist Church. He had a great sense of humor, quick wit and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his wife, Pam Erickson; son and daughter-in-law, John and Rhonda Erickson; daughter, Cari Erickson; daughter and son-in-law, Anna and Darren Stemple; granddaughter, Penny Hazel Stemple; brothers, Kent Erickson of Dodge City, and Stephen Erickson of Loveland; and brother-in-law, Les Hawley of Denver.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Hazel Erickson; and a sister, Martha Hawley.

A memorial service will be held in Garden City in the spring.
