LEOTI — A memorial service for Larry Gene Ribbing and his wife, Judy K. Ribbing, will begin at 10:30 a.m. Jan. 18, 2018, at First Baptist Church in Leoti. Inurnment for both will be at Leoti Cemetery, with military honors conducted for Larry.

Larry was born May 21, 1945, in Garden City, to Eugene W. and Geraldine Oxford Ribbing. He died Thursday, Jan. 4, 2018, in Leoti. He was a plant operator for Sunflower Electric, retiring in 2007, and was a U.S. Air Force veteran.

Judy was born Jan. 14, 1947, in Garden City, to Roy and Bessie McClinder Tabor. She died May 3, 2014, in Scott City. She was a caterer and cook at the Moose Lodge in Garden City.

The Ribbings had been residents of Garden City until moving to Scott City in 2007. Larry moved to Leoti in 2016.

Larry’s survivors include five siblings, Dean Ribbing of Leoti, Ellen Hahn of Lakin, Kaye Cronin of Garden City, Darrell Ribbing of Liberal, and Patricia Swilley of Scott City.

Judy’s survivors include a niece, Judy Knoll of Wichita; and a nephew, Robert Tabor of Topeka.

Memorials may be given to Leoti Emergency Medical Technicians, in Larry’s and Judy’s names, in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home in Leoti.
