Shirley Ann Ekhart, 84, died on Saturday, December 30, 2017, at her residence in Garden City, Kansas.
She was born on January 6, 1933, the daughter of Carey Ansel and Bertha Henrietta Roy Colburn in Garden City, Kansas.
She was a lifetime resident of Garden City and worked as s school cook for 25 years for USD 457.
On August 18, 1951, she married Robert L. Ekart in Garden City, Kansas. He preceded her in death on June 5, 2006.
Survivors include three daughters, Vicki Lynn Wallace of Garden City, Kansas, Kimi Ann Goetting of Garden City, Kansas, Tammy Sue Tichenor of Topeka, Kansas, nine grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 4, 2017, at 10 a.m. at Price & Sons Funeral Home of Garden City, Kansas.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 3, 2017, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Price & Sons Funeral Home of Garden City.
Memorials in lieu of flowers may be made to the Godmothers or the American Alzheimer’s Association in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home; 620 N. Main St. Garden City, Kansas 67846. Private family burial will take place at the Valley View Cemetery in Garden City, Kansas.
