Almeta Grace Thompson, 98, died on Wednesday, December 27, 201,7 at St. Catherine Hospital, Garden City, KS.

She was the daughter of John Robert and Lillie Myrtle (Greenwood) Ertz. She was born on December 18, 1919 in Stevens County, Kansas.

She married John McCall in 1939 and he preceded her in death in 1948.

She married Robert “Bob” Thompson on April 5, 1951 in Hugoton, Kansas. They made their home in Hugoton. He preceded her in death on November 25, 1993.

She was a member of the First Christian Church in Hugoton.

She is survived by two sons, Phillip Thompson and wife Jo, Hugoton, KS.; David Thompson and wife Dr. Susan , Clay Center, KS., five Grandchildren, eight Great Grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three infant sons, granddaughter, Tera Thompson, great grandson, Ricky Lee Tharp Jr., five brothers, Harry, John, Marvin, Victor, Virgil; five sisters, Thelma, Ruby, Jessie, Alice and Rosie.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at 2 p.m. at First Christian Church, Hugoton. Burial will follow at the Hugoton Cemetery.

Friends may call Friday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Paul’s-Robson Funeral Home, Hugoton. Family will receive friends 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
