JOHNSON CITY — Corrine Mae Nelson, 61, of Travelers Rest, S.C., died Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2017, at her son’s home in Ulysses. 

She was born July 17, 1956, in Russell, to John Christian “J.C.” and Shirley Ann Cronn Nelson, and grew up in Johnson City.

A longtime resident of Travelers Rest, she had worked for 30 years as a registered nurse, with the last 25 years as a traveling nurse. 

Survivors include three sons, George Peters of Travelers Rest, and Andrew Peters and Dexter Peters, both of Ulysses; a daughter, Belinda Gluntz of Ulysses; a brother, Clem Nelson of Johnson City; a sister, Colleen Hutchens of Woodward, Okla.; 14 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Curtis Nelson.

Funeral will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at Garnand Funeral Home Chapel in Johnson City. Burial will follow at Stanton County Cemetery in Johnson City.
