Tonja M. Williams, 50, of Modoc, died Friday, Nov. 24, 2017, at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.
She was born Nov. 18, 1967, in Guymon, Okla., to Troy S. and Carrie M. Abbott Marion.
A resident of Scott County since 1988, Mrs. Williams was a teacher at Scott City Elementary School for more than 13 years. She also owned and operated Tonja’s Toffee.
On Dec. 31, 1988, she married Alan Williams in Scott City. He survives. Other survivors include a son, Matthew Williams of Scott City; three daughters, Aubrey Horton of Deerfield, Emma Williams of Manhattan, and Haley Stratmeier of Modoc; her parents, Troy and Carrie Marion of Scott City; and four grandsons.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Troy S. Marion Jr., and her grandparents.
Funeral will begin at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in Scott City. Burial will be at Scott County Cemetery in Scott City.
Visitation hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City.
