ULYSSES — Steven Mark Mader, 61, of Dripping Springs, Texas, died Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2017.

He was born June 5, 1956, in Garden City, to LaVern J. and Delores Ratzlaff Mader.

Mr. Mader was employed with Mader Construction for the past 12 years.

Survivors include his wife, Tammy Mader; two sons, Mark Mader of Towanda, Okla., and Tyler Lackey of Dripping Springs; three daughters, Timberly Mader of Lakin, Dannyale Flora of Borger, Texas, and Tianna Mader of the home; his mother, Delores Ratzlaff Mader of Ulysses; two brothers, Paul Mader of Dripping Springs, and Chris Mader of Nickerson; three sisters, Pam Ellis of Pratt, Catherine Beohler of Ulysses, and Deidra Cantrell of Abbott, Texas; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, LaVern J. Mader; a brother, Tim Mader; a son, Austin Mader; his grandparents, Vernon and Mary Mader, and William and Marie Ratzlaff; and a granddaughter.

Vigil service will begin at 7 p.m. Monday at Mary, Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Ulysses. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Graveside service will begin at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Valley View Cemetery in Garden City.
