Mary Ann Binns, 86, of Garden City died Saturday, Nov. 18, 2017, at her home in Garden City.
She was born July 26, 1931, in Lakeview, S.D., to Albert & Clara (Ratigan) Brau.
She attended Jesuit Mission School in Lakeview.
She married Jack Binns in 1949 in Scott City. He died on Dec. 5, 1980. They lived in Mandan, N.D., before moving back to Kansas in 1968.
She was a business owner. She enjoyed playing cards, embroidery, dancing, traveling the world, and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children, Tonda Tabor (Bob Ramos) of Garden City, Larry Binns of Garden City, Darrell Binns of Garden City, and Jack (Brenda) Binns of Afton, Okla.; a brother, LaVern Brau of Garden City; a sister, Sister Annrené “Marline” Brau of Independence, Kan.; 20 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Robert Binns; a grandson Bobby Binns; nine brothers; and two sisters.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Garnand Funeral Home of Garden City. Burial will follow at Valley View Cemetery.
There will be no visitation. The family request memorials be given to the Garden City VFW Post #2270, in care of Garnand funeral Home, 412 N. Seventh St., Garden City, KS 67846.
