DIGHTON — Elnor Hope (Hinderliter) Krehbiel, 96, died Friday, Nov. 17, 2017, at the Lane County Hospital in Dighton.

She was born April 4, 1921, in Cleveland, Kan., to Daniel Ernest and Abbie Marie (Buntain) Hinderliter.

She grew up in the Cleveland area and graduated from Kingman High School.

On Nov. 24, 1938, she married Orville Lloyd Krehbiel in Cleveland. He preceded her in death on Oct. 18, 1994.

She was a homemaker. In 1997, she became a charter member of Bible Fellowship Church in Dighton, where she served on the Pulpit Committee and was also a choir member and served on the worship and outreach committees. She also enjoyed Bible reading, music, embroidery, photography, gardening, canning, finishing woodwork, running the combine during harvest, nature, sports, and her children and grandchildren's activities.

She is survived by eight children: Judy (Ron) Musselwhite of Dighton, Tony (Judi) Krehbiel of Bixby, Okla., Jim (Genelle) Krehbiel of Scott City, Barbara Huber of Hays, Lawrence (Vicki) Krehbiel of Dighton, Mark (Kit) Krehbiel of Norton, Pamela Schnuelle of Beatrice, Neb., and Rick (Amy) Krehbiel of Greeley, Colo.; a brother, Daniel Ernest Hinderliter, Jr. of Wichita; 28 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she also was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, and three sisters.

Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Bible Fellowship Church in Dighton. Burial will follow at the Dighton Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation will be 3 to 8 p.m. Monday at Boomhower Funeral Home.
