SCOTT CITY — Vick L. Eitel, 67, of Scott City, died Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2017, at Scott County Hospital in Scott City.
He was born Dec. 2, 1949, in Scott City, to Murl Loyd and Willidean Burkhead Eitel.
A lifetime resident of Scott City, Mr. Eitel worked for Fairleigh Corp. of Scott City for 27 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
On Feb. 17, 1998, he married Sandra Jackson in Las Vegas, Nev. She survives. Other survivors include a son, Darren Terry of San Antonio, Texas; three daughters, Chrissy Love of Pueblo, Colo., Veronica Mayer of Scott City, and Jennifer Terry of Topeka; three brothers, Dan Eitel of Hardy, Ark., and Curt and Rodney Eitel, both of Scott City; three sisters, Karen Holterman of Scott City, Connie Eitel of Goodland, and Tammy Otterstetter of Penrose, Colo.; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Nixie Ann Eitel.
A memorial service will begin at 2 p.m. Monday at Scott County Cemetery in Scott City.
Visitation hours are 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City. Memorials are suggested to Scott City Vets For Veterans, in care of the funeral home.
