SCOTT CITY — Jimmie Lee Bailey, 62, died Saturday, Oct. 14, 2017, at Scott County Hospital in Scott City. 

He was born June 26, 1955, to Vernon Eugene and Dorothy Louise Brown Bailey. 

Mr. Bailey had been a resident of Scott City since 1990.

On May 22, 1993, he married Betty Ivey in Scott City. She survives. Other survivors include a daughter, Samantha McKinney of Newton; a son, David Bailey; two stepdaughters, Stephanie Casper of Levant, and Katrina McLean of Cripple Creek, Colo.; five stepsons, Ben Cavens of Haysville, Adam Blau of Mission, Texas, Bobby McLean and Eddie McLean, both of Scott City, and Joe Cavens of Larned; a brother, Charlie Bailey of Burrton; two sisters, Debra Work and Patricia House; a granddaughter; and seven stepgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Eldon and Eugene Bailey.

A memorial service will begin at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in Scott City. Inurnment will be at Scott County Cemetery in Scott City.

There will be no visitation. Memorials to the Jimmie L. Bailey Memorial Fund may be sent in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home, Scott City.
