ULYSSES — Jack Rayford Kincaid, 70, of Ulysses, died Monday, Oct. 30, 2017, at Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital in Ulysses.
He was born April 1, 1947, in Liberty, Texas, to Albert Carl Jr. and Thelma Chrysteen Ray Kincaid. He graduated from Barnsdall (Okla.) High School in 1965.
On Oct. 7, 1967, he married Janice Elaine Swanson in Barnsdall.
Mr. Kincaid worked for Cities Service Gas Co. (which later became The Williams Co.) in Newton, Hesston, Garnett, Blackwell, Okla., and then Ulysses. He retired from The Williams Co. after 33 years. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves.
In addition to his wife, survivors include a son, Chris Kincaid of Ulysses; a daughter, Heather Troutman of Woodland Park, Colo.; a brother, Hubert Carl Kincaid of Port Barre, La.; two sisters, Beverly Ann Clark of Lafayette, La., and Cynthia Sue Elwell of Youngsville, La.; four grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a stepgreat-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Graveside service will begin at 2 p.m. Sunday at Ethel Reese Cemetery in Barnsdall, with military rites conducted. A celebration of Jack’s life will be held at a later date.
Visitation hours are 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday, with family present from 3 to 5 p.m., at Garnand Funeral Home in Ulysses. Condolences may be posted at www.garnandfuneralhomes.com.
