DIGHTON — Howard D. Wick, 89, died Sunday, Oct. 29, 2017, at his home in Dighton.
He was born Nov. 18, 1927, in Utica, to Albert Lambert and Hazel Dell Upjohn Wick. He graduated from Utica High School.
On Oct. 17, 1948, he married M. June McGowan in Dighton.
Mr. Wick started Wick Grain Co. in Shields in 1971 and operated it until his retirement. He was a U.S. Navy veteran.
In addition to his wife, survivors include a son, Daniel R. Wick of Dighton; a daughter, Jendee Wick of Arvada, Colo.; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Lyle and Herbert Wick; and a sister, Eileen Yonkoff.
Funeral will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday at First Christian Church in Dighton. Burial will be at Dighton Memorial Cemetery, with military honors conducted.
