SYRACUSE — Peggy Sherell Swint Gould, 76, of Syracuse, died Thursday, Oct. 5, 2017, at the High Plains Retirement Village in Lakin.
She was born Jan. 6, 1941, in Boonville, Ark., to Talmidge Swint and Margie Gant Swint.
She graduated from Syracuse High School in 1958.
On June 7, 1959, she married Keith Gould and they made their home in Syracuse.
She worked for Valley State Bank in Syracuse for 42 years as a secretary and retired in 2003. In 2011, she moved to the Seasons Of Life Living Center in Syracuse, and then in 2013, she moved to High Plains Retirement Village.
She is survived by her husband, Keith Gould of Syracuse; a brother, Kenneth Swint of Lake Havasu City, Ariz.; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Kelly Gould; and a daughter, Kristie Gould Hatcher.
Memorial services will be 10 a.m. MDT Wednesday at the First Presbyterian Church in Syracuse, KS. Burial will follow in the Syracuse Cemetery.
