SYRACUSE — Selola Belle “Sally” Lewis, 90, of Syracuse, died Monday, Aug. 7, 2017, at Kansas City Hospice House in Kansas City, Mo.
She was born Sept. 26, 1926, in Newkirk, Okla., to Olin H. and Selma B. Jack Wilson. She graduated from Sedan High School in Newkirk in 1944.
A teacher, Mrs. Lewis taught at Pleasant Prairie and Satanta before teaching for 37 years at Dermot School in Morton County. In April 1994, she moved to Syracuse.
On Nov. 21, 1948, she married Ernest Lewis in Satanta. He preceded her in death as did her parents and a sister, Ola Lee Wilson.
Survivors include two sons, Bob Lewis of Peculiar, Mo., and Mike Lewis of Kendall; two daughters, Shari Lewis of Topeka, and Barbara Lewis of Prairie Village; a sister, Oleta Shamasko of Wichita; five grandchildren; and five great-grandsons.
Funeral will begin at 10:30 a.m. MDT Saturday at First Presbyterian Church in Syracuse. Burial will begin at 1:30 p.m. MDT at Richfield Cemetery in Richfield.
Visitation hours are 3 to 7 p.m. MDT Friday at Fellers Funeral Home LLC, Syracuse.
