CIMARRON — Bobbie Ann Dye, 83, of Cimarron, died Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2017, at Western Plains Medical Complex in Dodge City.

She was born April 30, 1934, in Hobart, Okla., to James Daniel and Maude Pemberton Sutterfield. She graduated from high school in Big Flat, Ark.

A resident of Cimarron since 1969, Mrs. Dye worked as a filing supervisor for Cimarron Insurance Co. and was a homemaker.

On Jan. 24, 1959, she married Vernon Harold Dye in Meade. He died July 30, 1999. She also was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, J.D. and Joe Sutterfield.

Survivors include two sons, James Dye of Cimarron, and Shawn Dye of Hutchinson; two daughters, Debbie Ohmes and Penny Dye, both of Cimarron; a brother, Frank Sutterfield of Arkansas; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral will begin at 10 a.m. Friday at First Christian Church, Cimarron. Burial will follow at Cimarron Cemetery. 

Visitation hours are noon to 8 p.m. today at Ziegler Funeral Chapel, Cimarron.
