Annabelle Spencer

Annabelle N. Spencer, 74, of Great Bend, died Monday, Feb. 6, 2012, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.

She was born July 15, 1937, in Goessell, to Russell Everett and Frances Jane Parsons Wenger.

A Great Bend resident since 1993, Mrs. Spencer was a cook at Scott County Hospital and Clara Barton Hospital.

Survivors include three daughters, Brenda Love of Hoisington, Linda Shaffer of Dighton, and Pennie Spencer of Great Bend. She was preceded in death by a son, Wes Spencer; and a sister, Helen Zook.

Funeral will begin at 10 a.m. Friday at Bryant Funeral Home in Great Bend. Burial will begin at 3 p.m. Friday at Hartford Cemetery in Hartford.

Visitation hours are noon to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent at www.bryantfh.net. Memorials are suggested to the AIDS Research Alliance, in care of the funeral home, 1425 Patton Road, Great Bend, KS 67530.

Sorry for the loss of your mother. We had such fun together when we worked at Scott County hospital.
