ENDENNIS — James "J.J." Gregor, 74, of Pendennis, died Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013, at Hays Medical Center in Hays.

ENDENNIS — James "J.J." Gregor, 74, of Pendennis, died Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013, at Hays Medical Center in Hays.

He was born April 25, 1938, in Ransom, to James W. and Luella Scheuerman Gregor. He graduated from Healy High School in 1956.

On Sept. 20, 1975, he married Rosamary J. Whalen in Leoti.

After serving in the U.S. Army, Mr. Gregor returned to Pendennis and was a farmer.

In addition to his wife, survivors include two sons, Jason and Josh Gregor, both of Olathe.

A memorial service will begin at 11 a.m. Friday at Boomhower Funeral Home in Dighton, with military rites conducted.
