John Kossuth III

HUGOTON — John E. Kossuth III, 45, died in Hugoton.

He was born June 24, 1966, in Hugoton, to John Kossuth Jr. and Therlene Johnson Kindsvater. He grew up in Hugoton and Ulysses, graduating from Ulysses High School in 1984.

A carpenter, after high school he worked for Grant County Implement, camper division. He returned to Hugoton in June 2011.

Survivors include a stepdaughter, Sharon Barnett of Oklahoma City; a stepgrandson; his father, of Ottawa; his mother, of Hugoton; and his grandmother, Zelma Kossuth of Hugoton. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Jason and Jeffrey Kossuth; his stepfather, Loris Kindsvater; and his grandparents, Therman "Lefty" and Ilene Johnson, and John Kossuth Sr.

Funeral will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday at Assembly of God Church in Hugoton. Burial will follow at Hugoton Cemetery.

Visitation hours are 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at Garnand Funeral Home in Hugoton. Memorials to the donor's choice may be sent in care of the funeral home, 423 S. Main, Hugoton, KS 67951.
