Anna Juno

Anna Juno, 93, of Garden City, died Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2012, at Homestead Health & Rehabilitation Center in Garden City.

She was born Dec. 6, 1918, in Barton County, near Olmitz, to Albert and Julia Kittle Schneider. She attended Olmitz schools.

On Aug. 6, 1940, she married Frank A. Juno in Olmitz. They moved to Garden City in 1994. A homemaker and farm wife, Anna enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, and playing the piano and organ.

Survivors include a daughter-in-law, JoAnn Juno of Garden City; two grandchildren, Danna Mustard and Gene Juno Jr., both of Garden City; and two great-grandsons, Justin Juno of Tyler, Texas, and Devyn Mustard of Imperial, Calif. Her husband died Jan. 16, 1997. She also was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Mary Ann Juno; a son, Gene F. Juno; and a sister, Fannie Carter.

Vigil service and rosary will begin at 6:30 tonight at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Garden City. Funeral Mass will begin at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church. Burial will follow at Valley View Cemetery in Garden City.

Visitation hours are noon to 5 p.m. today at Garnand Funeral Home in Garden City. Condolences may be emailed to garnandfh@sbcglobal.net. Memorials are suggested to St. Dominic Catholic Church, in care of the funeral home, 412 N. Seventh St., Garden City, KS 67846.

She was a lovely lady

Anna was truly a lovely lady.....so gracious andd caring. I have gret memories of she and Frank and of course Gene....they were the truest definition of "family love". Never saw her without a smile. JoAnn you are in my thoughts and prayers.
