Marilyn Pabst Phillips
Marilyn E. Pabst Phillips, 78, of Garden City, died Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City.
She was born Sept. 24, 1934, in Levant, to Samuel Everett and Leona Dryden Touslee. She graduated from Colby High School.
In 1952, she married Donald H. Pabst. On Feb. 4, 1984, she married Bill J. Phillips in Las Vegas, Nev.
Mrs. Phillips lived overseas for a few years and several places in Kansas before going to work for the United States Geological Survey as a hydrologic technician. She worked out of the offices in Colby, Garden City, Las Vegas and Denver. She moved to Garden City after retiring from the government.
Survivors include her husband, Bill J. Phillips; a daughter, Tami and husband Jim Johnson; a son, Tod Pabst; a brother, Boyd Touslee; four grandchildren, Andrea and Iain King, Ashley and Gonzalo Vega-Delgado, Taylor and Jessica Johnson, and Joanne Pabst; and a great-grandson, Miller James King. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Duane Touslee.
A memorial service will begin at 3 p.m. Friday at Garnand Funeral Home in Garden City. Graveside service will be at Beulah Cemetery in Colby.
