ULYSSES — Stephen Dean Harp, 59, of Ulysses, died Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012, at Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital in Ulysses.

ULYSSES — Stephen Dean Harp, 59, of Ulysses, died Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012, at Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital in Ulysses.

He was born Nov. 13, 1953, in Ulysses, to Luther and Geraldine Mead Harp.

Mr. Harp drove a truck for Popejoy Construction, Kroy Industries and Pete Woods Construction.¬ 

Survivors include a son, Lowell Paul Harp of Cheyenne, Wyo.; three daughters, Kayla Sue Harp and Shawnna Marie Sears, both of Wichita, and Jessica Harp of Ulysses; his mother, of Ulysses; two sisters, Beckie Fuentes of Houston, and Linda Smith of Ulysses; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father.

A memorial service will begin at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Garnand Funeral Home Chapel in Ulysses.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Stephen Harp Memorial Fund, in care of the funeral home, 405 W. Grant Ave., Ulysses, KS 67880.
