Adam Roland "Papi" Lucero Jr., 6, died Friday, Nov. 30, 2012, at Childrens Medical Center in Dallas.

He was born May 26, 2006, in Garland, Texas. He was in the first grade at J.W. Ray Elementary School in Dallas.

Survivors include his mother, Maria M. Garcia of Dallas; his father, Gilbert Adam Lucero of Albuquerque, N.M.; two sisters, Asia Ayva Lucero and Amaya Garcia, both of Dallas; his grandparents, Jessie R. and Mary C. Garcia of Garden City, Gilbert C. Lucero of El Paso, Texas, and Janie Dominquez of Arkansas City; and his great-grandparents, Estella Ramon of San Antonio, Texas, and Pauline Lucero of Albuquerque.

Vigil service will begin at 7 p.m. Wednesday at St. Mary Catholic Church in Garden City. Mass Of The Angels will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday at the church. Burial will be at Valley View Cemetery in Garden City.

Visitation hours are noon to 8 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at Garnand Funeral Home in Garden City. Condolences may be emailed to garnandfh@sbcglobal.net. Memorials to the Adam Lucero Memorial Fund may be sent in care of the funeral home, 412 N. Seventh St., Garden City, KS 67846.
