John Wilson

John D. "Bud" Wilson, 73, of Oakley, died Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012, at Gove County Medical Center in Quinter.

He was born Nov. 8, 1939, in Logan County, Colo., to Harold and Rose Hall Wilson.

Mr. Wilson was a cattle buyer.

On Feb. 1, 1986, he married Judy L. Swart in Oakley. She survives. Other survivors include three sons, Bob of Parker, Colo., Jim of North Wales, Pa., and Bill of Scott City; a daughter, Janet Sanders of Kansas City, Mo.; nine grandchildren; and a sister, Ruth Nation of Safford, Ariz. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at Buffalo Bill Cultural Center in Oakley.

Visitation hours are 5 to 8 p.m. today at the cultural center. Cremation is to follow with private inurnment taking place. Memorials are suggested to Gove County Medical Center, Logan County Emergency Medical Services or Oakley United Christian Church, all in care of Kennedy-Koster Funeral Home, Box 221, Oakley KS 67748.
