ULYSSES — Lillian M. Skare, 95, of Ulysses, died Monday, Dec. 10, 2012, at The Legacy at Park View in Ulysses.

ULYSSES — Lillian M. Skare, 95, of Ulysses, died Monday, Dec. 10, 2012, at The Legacy at Park View in Ulysses.

She was born June 15, 1917, in Walker, Minn., to Albert and Luella Warren.

A Ulysses resident since 1973, Mrs. Skare had worked as a home care provider.

On Aug. 12, 1935, she married Harlan Sylvester Skare in Walker. He died in 1993. She also was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Harlan Richard Skare; a daughter, Gladys Mae Lauer; two brothers, Roy and James Warren; a sister, Alice Bennett; and two grandchildren.

Survivors include a daughter, Linda Kuhn of Ulysses; two sisters, Viola Blackburn of Walker, and Bertha Warren of St. Cloud, Minn.; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.¬ 

Funeral will begin at 2 p.m. Thursday at Garnand Funeral Home Chapel in Ulysses. Burial will follow at Ulysses Cemetery.

There will be no visitation. Memorials are suggested to The Legacy at Park View, in care of the funeral home, 405 W. Grant Ave., Ulysses, KS 67880.
