BENTON — Julia R. Garcia, 85, died Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012.

A homemaker, Mrs. Garcia was a former Garden City resident.

Survivors include her children, Julia Garcia of Benton, Benny, Paul and John Garcia, Lupe Camarillo and Josie Garcia, all of Wichita, Juanita Prater of Andover, and Carmen Terriquez of Arvada, Colo.; her siblings, Richard Rangel of Garden City, and Isabel Martinez of Liberal; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Juan; a son, Manuel; and two sisters, Senona Martinez and Connie Martinez.

Service will begin at 2 p.m. Thursday at The Benton Church, 14300 SW 20th in Benton.

Visitation hours are 2 to 8 p.m. today at Culbertson-Smith Mortuary, 115 S. Seneca in Wichita, with the family greeting friends from 2 to 5 p.m. Tributes may be viewed at www.smithfamilymortuaries.com. Memorials are suggested to The Benton Church.
