Ivone Yosett Martinez, 25, of Garden City, died Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2012, in Hays.

Ivone Yosett Martinez, 25, of Garden City, died Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2012, in Hays.

She was born Dec. 31, 1986, in Tasquillo, Hidalgo, Mexico, to Ricardo and Maura (Martinez) Martinez. She graduated from Garden City High School.

A student at Fort Hays State University, majoring in education, Miss Martinez had worked at Walmart in Garden City and was employed at Hays Walmart.

Survivors include her parents, of Garden City; two brothers, Miguel Angel Rodriguez and Richard Martinez, both of Garden City; a sister, Carolina Rodriguez of Garden City; and her grandparents, Emilia Martinez and Facundo Martinez, both of Mexico. She was preceded in death by her grandmother and grandfather.

Rosary will begin at 7:30 tonight at St. Mary Catholic Church, Garden City. Funeral Mass will begin at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Burial will follow at Valley View Cemetery, Garden City.
