Veronica Vincent

Veronica S. "Roni" Downey Vincent, 56, of Pretty Prairie, died Monday, Nov. 19, 2012, at Via Christi Regional Medical Center, St. Francis Campus in Wichita.

She was born Sept. 23, 1956, in Lakin, to Mary Joan (Ravenkamp) and Daniel Joseph Downey. She graduated from Spearville High School.

On Aug. 16, 1975, she married Clyde William Vincent in Brewster.

Mrs. Vincent worked at Via Christi St. Francis in Wichita as a CNA/EMT and was a volunteer EMT in Pretty Prairie.

In addition to her husband, survivors include her children, Gary Vincent of Meade, Jonel Christensen of Rainier, Wash., Tammy Crawford of Packwood, Wash., J. Vincent of Portland, Ore., and Terry Vincent of Yakima, Wash.; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and her brothers and sisters, Mary Kay Moyer of Ulysses, Joe Downey of Ingalls, Debbie Collins of Edmond, Okla., Theresa Rose of Salina, Becky Hoover of Platte City, Mo., and Bill Downey of Pretty Prairie. Her parents preceded her in death.

A memorial service will begin at 10 a.m. Friday at the United Methodist Church, 201 S. Rhodes in Pretty Prairie. A graveside inurnment will be held at a later date.
