HOLCOMB — Virginia Lee Jefferson, 80, died Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012, at Garden Valley Retirement Village in Garden City.

HOLCOMB — Virginia Lee Jefferson, 80, died Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012, at Garden Valley Retirement Village in Garden City.

She was born Aug. 5, 1932, in Kansas City, Kan., to Emery W. and Ellen Hindman Overly.

A resident of Garden City since 1965, Mrs. Jefferson had been an office manager for an insurance company and later was a sales representative for Avon.

On April 7, 1951, she married Donald C. Jefferson in Denver. He survives. Other survivors include a daughter, Karen Jo Page of Belen, N.M.; a son, Scott D. Jefferson of Holcomb; a sister, Sherrill Burke of Houston; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Don W. Jefferson.

No services are scheduled at this time.
